BUBKA & REX have been together for 2 years. Bubka (on the right) is 6 years old and Rex is 2 years old. Their elderly dad was taken ill very suddenly and was admitted to a hospice 400 km away in the capital city. For a while the neighbour fed these two sweet doggies, but when the remaining food ran out he stopped and we were asked to step in.
REX was hit by a car when he was only young and unfortunately his leg was broken and reset by a non-specialist vet. The leg was never plastered and aftercare given and as a result the leg is bent and faces outwards. Ordinarily this does not worry him but after prolonged walking or trotting he is clearly in some discomfort. We would like to raise enough money to have the necessary surgery carried out to straighten the leg and give Rex relief from the pain and strain on other limbs from running on 3 legs.
BUBKA has a detatched luxating lens in her right eye. It is not clear if this has caused glaucoma in the eye but there is some intermittent swelling. We would like to raise enough money for her to have the eye checked and any necessary treatment to avoid removal. If this is recommended then we would like to raise enough money for this to be done and for her aftercare.
We estimate we need £300 to treat these deserving little doggies; if you would like to donate to their appeal - please click on the donate button below, every penny counts and we are so grateful for all your kindness.
